Forum Post: RE: Dynamics 365 CRM Import Organization Error: This organization cannot be upgraded.
Hello KavitaSt, Suggestion here for you as below. First of all Take backup of CRM2015 DB (MSCRM_CONFIG , ORG_MSCRM) You need to upgrade your CRM2015 server to CRM2016 first. Once upgraded to CRM2016 you need to apply Update Rollup KB3205084 which will rebrand crm2016 to Dynamics365. (2.0) after that you may go with upgrade ony by one update rollups. (till update 2.9 KB4508726). Hope this will help you. Thank you. Abarao Bhople

Forum Post: RE: Show different data to different users on different conditions based on security role in Dynamic CRM 2016 ( v8.0)
Products don't have owners. That's why the way to filter them is how you add them to price lists: Ownership* Organization ps- as you know, all security setting flows through record ownership

Forum Post: CTI integration with multiple tenants - routing/filtering incoming lines
Hi Our call center employees receive calls on different lines for organizations 1, 2 and 3. For each of these organizations we operate a D365 CE Tenant. Can CTI be integrated in such a way that contacts for calls on line 1 are searched only in tenant 1, for line 2 only in tenant 2, etc.? If not, could at least the incoming calls of line 1 be filtered so that only these contacts are looked up in tenant 1 (which by far contains the most contacts)? Neither of the two options can be realized with the add-ons of the third party providers requested so far (QGate, MSCRM). Can this be realized with USD or does anyone know an add-on that can do this? Thanks in advance!

Forum Post: RE: Editing a form in Dynamics365's Unified Interface without shifting to Classical interface
not sure that the PowerApps folks would agree that the form editor is "classical" but, the only other way that I can think of is editing the xml in a solution; this is an area where one should tread lightly. Have you run into some issue using it? I find it is much nicer for on-premise situations but, I'm using IE and my difficulties may be with that.

Forum Post: emails are tracked in CRM unknowingly
We are using CRM 365 on-premise V9. I found some of users' emails are tracked in CRM. They are not emails responding emails from CRM. I am not sure how the system selecting emails to create activities. More system info: Email option for user in Personal Option is set to : Email messages in response to Dynamic 365 email. Email option for user's queue is set to : Email messages in response to Dynamic 365 email. Our system users all have a corresponding contact record in the system too. (not sure if it is relevant) Any help? Thanks in advance! Holly Li

Forum Post: Populate Email Address in Lead created from Email
Hi all This should be CRM 101, but somehow I'm struggling... I'm creating a Record Creation and Update Rule that takes emails delivered to a particular queue and then creates leads from them. Generally this is working well, but I need the sender's email address in the Lead's Email textbox (emailaddress1). I'd have imagined that this would be fairly straight forward but, for the life of me, I can't figure out which field to get the email address value from!? There are a number to try, so I'm not going to list each one and their outcome here, but generally they either put the name of the actual created Contact (unknown senders is set to create Contacts), or the process seems to fail silently and the email simply doesn't exist. Has anyone populated the Email field on the Lead entity created by RCUR? Thanks James

Forum Post: RE: Displaying unique value in lookup
I would suggest you to create a parent account for all the same account and use this accounts in lookup (filter parent account does not contain data) or have a field something as "Display in Quote" and flag it as YES on one of the duplicate accounts and use it in lookup filter criteria. Hope this helps.

Forum Post: RE: how to restrict a particular user from deleting records of a specified entity
You can try below things: 1. Remove the delete rights from the sale rep. Security role 2. See if user belongs to a team and that team has delete rights. Either remove the user from that team if possible or remove the delete rights from the teams security role 3. Check if the user have multiple security role that have the delete rights. Either remove user's additional security or remove delete rights from that additional security role Hope this helps

Blog Post: Portal Templates are back!
Portal Templates are great way to start implementing portals. From the Adxstudio days until now business were able to hit the ground running by starting implementation based of the multiple templates offered by the product. With the re-branding of technology from "Dynamics 365 Portals" to "PowerApps Portals" it was unclear when and if templates would be made available. Well... I am happy to say they are now!!! In order to use portal templates you need to ensure that you have the proper Dynamics 365 apps installed (Customer Service workload, etc). Here is how you get a Portal provisioned with a desired template. Sign on to https://make.powerapps.com Click on the " + Create " button: Filter the list of available app templates using the keyword "portal" Click to select the desired Portal template; Follow the PowerApps Portal setup wizard and you are done!
