Hello, Can you please provide your code?

probably you are setting a currency field with just the decimal value, you will need to do something like this: decimal newValue = 3.14m; updateRecord[new_moneyfield] = new Money(newValue);

Hello Neeraj, First of all; I am very grateful for your help given and allow me to inform you that: 1. This link was great and very useful ( docs.microsoft.com/.../dynamics_error_codes) 2. The use of the csv file workaround worked fine. 3. I am taking all your suggestions about duplicates and unique columns' values into consideration when errors appear. So I made all the fields as optional in order to not have to fill all the values on the excel to be imported and have the ability to just work with the fields that were not causing errors and that is what I am doing now... meaning that, some testing is being done. Sincerely, Carlos Q.

Forum Post: Quote Error "Unable to update the quote, currency comparison could not be made."

After updating our On Premise Dynamics CRM Instance to 9.0.10 we can no longer save quotes. Instead we receive the following error: "Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: An unexpected error occurred. ---> System.Exception: Unable to update the quote, currency comparison could not be made." We don't have any third party plugins running on the quote entity and we've tested this on a CRM environment with non of our modifications, so the error must be related to the new update. We tried to update to 9.0.11 to see if that would fix it, but it still hasn't fixed the error. Our final step now is to try and remove 9.0.10 and 9.0.11 by uninstalling them, though we are now concerned with upgrading to further versions if this will likely cause us continuous problems. Any advice would be appreciated. Nathan

Hi Jeroen, There would be no OOB way to create a view which is based on privilige entity. So you could 1. Build a SSRS report with fetchXml to see priviliges of a specific role, as Andrew suggested. 2. Embbed a HTML web resource, retrieving all priviliges of a specific role by web api function: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/dynamicscrm-2016/developers-guide/mt607997(v%3dcrm.8) This method means we create a view which is based on privilige manually by ourselve. You could take mine as reference, it'll retrieve top 10 priviliges of System administrator.(That's because there are about thousands records, I just tested and you could do pagination with other js plugin) Page Demo result: Regards, Clofly

Hello Nathan, It looks for me as a bug. Open the ticket with Microsoft so they will be able to create a fix for the bug.

Hello, Try to publish your entity after you ticked "Service" checkbox and reload dynamics. If it will not make a trick you will have to use XrmToolbox and SiteMap editor plugin or edit navigation of app using OOB App Designer .

Hello, I believe the reason is documentbody of the file that you set: entity.documentbody = "Test Title"; It should be Base64Encoded string and I don't think that word document content will be simple "Test Title".

Hello Andrew, I would recommend to get in touch with Microsoft and open a ticket. Looks like a bug for me even it doesn't break anything except User Experience :)

Hi, It seems that you are trying to set the value retrieve from the money field of Dynamics 365 CRM into a variable of type Money. Trying to do so will give an error "Cannot implicitly convert type 'decimal' to 'Microsoft.Xrm.Sdk.Money". To solve this, rather than setting value in the Money type of variable kindly set the value of decimal type of variable as below: decimal extendedAmount = product.GetAttributeValue ("extendedamount").Value; Hope this helps. Thanks!

Blog Post: Working with Queue Items and On Demand Workflows in Dynamics 365

While working with Queues and Queue Items in Dynamics 365 for a client I came across a data issue that required a bulk data update on Queue Items. As the nature of my data update could be handled by an On Demand Workflow, naturally this is what I created. When I tried to run the workflow using Advanced Find I was not presented with On Demand Workflows for Queue Items, I was instead shown the On Demand Workflows for the Queue Item Type (in this case Leads). Also, when trying to run across Queue Items for different entity types I was presented with an error. Interestingly when you navigate to the Queue Item area on the Site Map you are presented with On Demand Workflows for Queue Items, under the flows tab. I hope this helps you if you ever are trying to run On Demand Workflows from Advanced Find and are wondering what is going on.

For me it works perfectly. I have the suspect, that you have a cache issue. Try adding some code outside the if like {{ var_1 }} for displaying the actual value when you change it. May be this is the issue. I always add this type of poormans debugging info when developing as i have a lot of cache issues...

Blog Post: How Retail is changing.

How Retail Is Changing Tips Determine which specialization you'd like to sell products in. Just as lots of people could be purchasing the item, a enormous part of these can elect to get the substitute brand. If a item looks priced too low, they might guess the thing quality. Begin by exploring the market for the goods you are thinking of. If you're interested you will get to create services and products which may help your self, and possibly even your friends on the way. Retail is not perishing, but it's changing. It has always been cyclical. It is shifting but it doesn't indicate it is dying. Sure, the retail is currently in the midst of a significant transformation, much re-invention over the prior decade or 2. The How Retail Is Changing Cover Up Retailers will continue to purchase internet suppliers, and vice versa, in order to quicken their expertise in omni-channel. Consequently, they will need to concentrate on enhancing their customers' shopping experience instead of merely increasing their customer base. They have to structure their companies to ensure they make shopping an easy and pleasurable experience through every channel. Therefore, they must be able to deliver an intuitive knowledge in shops and even online or they'll lose customers' loyalty. On-line retailers may charge for delivering little and enormous goods. The merchant can then supply the consumer with a abundance of information, including promotions and new products which could interest them. With that type of growth expected, it is obvious that mobile programs must turn into some of a merchant's business model to have the ability to remain competitive. Most retailers supply precisely the same bargains on the market in store on their site. Advertisers often have overall gross margin percent targets, however markups can fluctuate by class based on a selection of demand and supply factors. Finally, they are of the mind that they have to interact with every client across every station, but their real attention must be on understanding key interactions and use examples and the way to best empower them. They need to be able to provide streamlined, user-friendly procedures and processes in order to maintain the millennial. They have been required to adapt and invest heavily in technology to be able to fulfill the demands of the customer. On-line retailers provide users the ease of shopping 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Retailers may have to work more difficult to satisfy their demands since they affect tendencies and redefine purchasing habits. As a consequence, it's very important that retailers continue on top of their games as soon as it comes to keeping the most trendy, moderately priced products on their shelves. A great deal of retailers are fighting that reality. Several online retailers are staking their claim in physical spaces. Retail marketing depends on in-store traffic. It produces a healthy competitive environment involving merchants. It's the bridge between a product and its possible client target marketplace. As stated by the dictionary, it's the act of marketing a product straight to the customers who use them. At the surface of switch, a considered way of data-driven retail promotion is critical.

Hi, Suggestion would be 1) Just create an online version of D365 and practice it since you are new to D365 it will be useful for you to understand the online. 2)Download the SDk I think the best way to download the Dynamics CRM 365 V9 SDK is using Windows Powershell. Please refer below link for detailed instructions. docs.microsoft.com/.../download-tools-nuget Regards, Thangamani
